2ND ANNUAL HILLCROSS RACE
HillCross is a combination of Snocross and Hillclimb
Two sleds race head-to-head up the mountain, over a series of jumps, tabletops, elevation step-ups, and corners - Approximate length is 1000 feet
This race will test your skill...not what's under the hood!

Racers 16 years of age and older may run in any Stock, Mod, Snocross or King of the Hill class.
 PRE-REGISTRATION
Race registration will be capped at 150 racers

$10 Pre-registration per racer is RECOMMENDED (non-refundable) this will guarantee your race spot and will be counted towards the $10 Insurance Fee at registration.

  • Registration will be accepted at the event only if pre-registration has not reached its capacity of 150 racers. We will post regular updates on KMMX Facebook page
EVENT FORMAT
7am–9am Snowmobile Tech and Race Entry Registration (No late registrations accepted)
9:15am Mandatory Racers meeting
9:30am Practice Lap (optional - $10 fee)
10am Racing begins - all racing to be completed in daylight hours
​End of day Trophy Presentation - Top 3 places

$20 - Mini 120 / Vintage
$25 - Stock and Junior/Women
$35 - Mod / Snocross / King of the Hill

$10 - Practice Lap - optional
$10 - Pit Access for non-racers - optional
GATE ADMISSIONS
$10 Adult (Ages 12 and up)
$5 Children (Ages 5-11)
FREE Children Under 5

MANDATORY SNOWMOBILE 
All race snowmobiles will be inspected before onsite race entry registration. Any questions in advance of the event on tech specification please contact Cory @ criopelleloveless@gmail.com


WAIVERS
Waivers will be available at registration and must be signed by all racers.
Racers under the age of 18 will require a parent to be present to sign the waiver forms.
Waivers must be signed by all racers, event employees, volunteers, photographers and media.

 
SCORING
Scoring will be done manually by event staff and no transponders will be required.
Race bibs with numbers will be provided with a $10 deposit (refunded upon return).  

 
MEMBERSHIPS
No memberships or licenses required. All racers welcome.


FOOD VENDOR
The Calabogie and District Snowmobile Club will be serving up hamburgers, hotdogs, chili, pulled pork, baked beans and more – please support our local snowmobile club fundraising efforts.
​IMPORTANT SAFETY RULES
  1. There will be no jack stands allowed in the pit area. The only place you can use a jack stand will be in the staging area.
  2. If you are caught using a jack stand or picking up the back of the snowmobile to rotate the track or warm up, you will be DISQUALIFIED.  No money refund.
  3. Only two (2) snowmobiles allowed in the staging area at a time.
  4. There will be mandatory Tech of all snowmobiles before racing begins.
  5. No stud on any track can be longer than ¾ inch higher than your track lug.
  6. All race snowmobiles MUST have a WORKING TETHER cord shut off ($23.99 at Canadian Tire)
  7. All racers MUST wear DOT approve full face helmets or helmet with safety glasses/googles, and upper body protection (tech vest or motocross chest protection). Neck brace is not mandatory.
  8. All racers MUST have helmet buckled and all proper gear on in the staging area. If you are not ready to race when called to the start line you will be DISQUALIFIED!
  9. Shields down or goggles on when racing.
  10. Only one driver per snowmobile per class.
  11. Drivers are able to have one pit crew member in the staging and starting area.
  12. Safety glasses REQUIRED for crew members on the starting line.
  13. NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL allowed. Any racer under the influence will be DISQUALIFIED!
  14. Do not ride off property! NO EXCEPTIONS!
  15. THE RACE REFEREE HAS THE FINAL CALL ON ALL MATTERS!

​STOCK CLASS RULES
  1. Snowmobile MUST have original OEM for the frame, engine, suspension, fuel tank, body air box, seat.
  2. Snowmobile must run on pump gas with a maximum octane rating of 94.
  3. There will be NO snocross snowmobiles allowed in stock classes. They will race in the Snocross & Mod classes.
  4. Exhaust system must be stock from OEM. Muffler and silencers must be intact at all times.
  5. OEM reeds and reed block ONLY.
  6. Primary and secondary clutch internals may be modified (helix, springs and weights only) .
  7. Roller secondary clutches not allowed unless OEM for the model.
  8. Drive chain sprockets may be changed. Drive belts do not need to be OEM.
  9. Suspension must remain in original mounting location. Shock must remain OEM.  Any ski is allowed in OEM style.
  10. Rear suspension must be OEM. Any suspension springs are allowed.
  11. No chisel studs or grinding on studs allowed. Carbide tipped trail studs ONLY!

​MOD CLASS RULES
  1. Any engine is allowed. Must not exceed displacement limit for the class.
  2. All engines are to be naturally aspirated, no turbo, supercharges or nitrous.
  3. May run race fuel.
  4. May run light weight hood, and do not need a headlight.
  5. All studs are allowed including Chisels.
  6. Allowed aftermarket head.
  7. Exhaust must exit belly pan in a downward and rearward direction.

​FOUR STROKE CLASS RULES
  1. Same rules as Stock Class
  2. NO TURBO`s ALLOWED

​SNOCROSS CLASS RULES
  1. No stud on any track can be longer than ¾ inch higher than your track lug.

KING OF THE HILL CLASS RULES
  1. 2500cc Maximum
  2. Allowed turbo`s, supercharger, or nitrous.
​All admission and class fees are used to cover the costs of permits, insurance, medical services, track maintenance and event personnel, all of which are necessary to make this event enjoyable and safe.
